Network Equipment Providers


Alcatel-Lucent uses Ikanos’ chipsets in their Intelligent Service Access Manager (ISAM) products. These Internet protocol (IP) digital subscriber line access multiplexers (DSLAMs) incorporate Ikanos’ chipsets which enable the development of highly integrated, high-performance 48-port European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) line cards.


AVM has selected Ikanos’ communications processor for integration into AVM’s most advanced family of multimedia home gateways. The Ikanos-based FRITZ!Box family of home gateways will be deployed in Germany and throughout Europe in IP-enabled multi-service A/VDSL access networks, enabling advanced services such as digital enhanced cordless telecommunications (DECT), dual-band concurrent 802.11n wireless LAN communications, network storage and multi-channel high-definition IPTV.


DASAN Networks, a leading Korean equipment manufacturer, selected the Ikanos multi-mode VDSL2 central office (CO) and customer premises equipment (CPE) chipsets for its next generation equipment. Ikanos’ products enable DASAN to offer universal 100/100 VDSL2 DSLAMs, concentrators, CPE and residential gateways for deployment in Korea and the rest of the world.


D-Link Corporation has selected Ikanos’ communications processors for its most advanced VDSL2 modem, the DSL-6541K.  And Ikanos’ low power broadband DSL CO chipsets with Ikanos Quality Video (iQV™) are incorporated into D-Link’s DEV-3726K 24-port IP DSLAMs. The Ikanos-based equipment is being utilized by Chunghwa Telecom – Taiwan’s largest telecommunications operator – in its next-generation multimedia network deployment.


ECI Telecom (Nasdaq:ECIL), a world leader in the Multi-Service Access Gateways, Fiber to the Home/Premise (FTTx) and video over broadband markets, uses the Ikanos VDSL chipset in its  Hi-Focus™ product.  The Hi-Focus product is a high-density, universal access gateway supporting thousands of multi-mode subscriber lines for delivery of next-generation services, including voice, data, and multicast video.


Gemtek Technology Co. Ltd., an original design manufacturer (ODM) based in Taiwan, ships a  full featured triple play residential gateway that uses Ikanos’ VDSL2 CPE, communications processor, and residential gateway software suite. The company’s gateway (WVDK-105G) is being offered to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) worldwide.

Global Wireless Technologies

Global Wireless Technologies LLC is a leading provider of cellular access points for the residential and enterprise markets.  Together, we developed a  femtocell-based VDSL2 residential gateway platform. The product has been designed to extend mobile coverage indoors, while providing flexible service options and reductions in cost and power consumption to the consumer and mobile operators.


InnoMedia, Inc., a leading supplier of Internet and broadband access Internet Protocol (IP) telephony solutions, uses Ikanos’ network processors in its next generation Voice over IP (VoIP)-enabled residential gateways.


Millinet Co., Ltd. is one of the leading communications equipment manufacturers in Korea. Millinet is using Ikanos’ VDSL2 CO and CPE chipsets in its next-generation of broadband equipment to deliver high performance 100 Mbps bandwidth. Millinet’s Ikanos-based 8/24/48 port central office and customer premises equipment is available for POTS and ISDN compatible phone services.


NEC Magnus Communications (NEC Magnus), one of Japan’s leading network equipment suppliers, has selected Ikanos’ CO and CPE chipsets to deliver up to 100 Mbps symmetrical data services in its broadband access products.


Sagemcom has incorporated Ikanos’ communications processor, voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) engine and multi-mode VDSL2/ADSL2+ chipsets in its residential gateway. The Sagemcom’s F@st 3464 is being used as the customer premises equipment (CPE) for European carriers’ next-generation VDSL2 access networks capable of delivering high-definition Internet protocol television (HD IPTV).


Sumitomo Electric Networks, Inc. (SEN), one of Japan’s leading communications equipment manufacturers, has selected Ikanos’ VDSL2 CO and CPE chipsets for its next generation of broadband equipment. SEN’s selection of Ikanos’ products will enable Japanese service providers to deliver high-performance, symmetric 100 megabit/second bandwidth as well as POTS-compatible “IP-Phone” services.

Tailyn Communication Company, Ltd.

Tailyn provides advanced electronics manufacturing services (EMS) to a diverse customer base, across a broad spectrum of products and applications. Tailyn uses Ikanos VDSL chipsets in broadband products for the access, hospitality and enterprise markets.


TECOM Co. Ltd. uses Ikanos’ communications processor in its residential gateway selected by Chunghwa Telecom for its next-generation multi-service access network. TECOM’s residential gateway will be used as the customer premises equipment (CPE) in Chunghwa Telecom access network and is capable of delivering high-definition Internet protocol television (HD IPTV) amongst other triple play services.


Tellion uses Ikanos central office chipset to support VDSL2 services in Tellion’s new 8/16/24-port solution for Multi-Tenant/Multi-Dwelling Unit (MxU) deployments.


Teracom Ltd. uses the Ikanos communications processors as the core of its high-performance integrated access devices (IADs). These products will be used to extend advanced wireless, voice and data services to millions of consumers throughout India, and other countries in the region.


Ubiquoss Corporation is a top tier provider of carrier grade Ethernet equipment. Ubiquoss is using Ikanos’ VDSL2 CO and CPE chipsets in its Internet protocol digital subscriber line access multiplexers (IP DSLAMS). The Ikanos-based IP DSLAMs are being utilized by one of Korea’s leading telecom providers in a fiber-to-the-building (FTTB) network deployment.


XAVi Technologies Corporation, a leading supplier of broadband residential gateways and customer premise equipment, has selected the Ikanos  high-performance gateway processor for its VDSL2/ADSL2+ triple play residential gateways. The XAVi residential gateways are sold globally, with a primary focus on the North American and European markets.


Zhone Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: ZHNE) has selected Ikanos’ VDSL2 central office (CO) and customer premises chipsets for integration into the company’s next-generation Bitstorm-HP compact IP-DSLAM products. With Ikanos’ industry leading VDSL2 products, Zhone — a global provider of advanced communications equipment and a leader in enabling VoIP, IPTV, and Ethernet over copper and fiber access lines — will be able to deliver broadband access equipment capable of symmetrical speeds of up to 100 Mbps for infrastructure upgrades to VDSL2 while also providing ADSL2+ compatibility from the same device.


ZTE has deployed Ikanos central office chipsets in their flagship ZXDSL 9806H product line. These high-performance digital subscriber line access multiplexers (DSLAMs) incorporate Ikanos’ chipsets which enable reduced power consumption and improved impuse noise protection – key for the delivery of high quality IPTV services.
