Michael Gulett \ President and Chief Executive Officer

Gulett joins Ikanos with over 30 years of semiconductor and communications industry experience. For the past 15 years, Gulett has been the president, CEO or COO of a number of publicly traded and privately held companies including Tzero Technologies, ARC International, Siliquent Technologies (acquired by Broadcom in 2005), Virata Corporation, Paradigm Technology and others. He has also held a range of engineering, operations and business management positions at VLSI Technology, California Devices, NCR Microelectronics and Intel Corporation. Gulett has served on the Ikanos Board of Directors since August 2003 and was appointed president and CEO in July 2008. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Dayton.


Craig Garen \ Chief Operating Officer

Garen joins Ikanos with more than 25 years of executive and leadership experience in the broadband semiconductor and communications industry. Before joining Ikanos, Garen was senior vice president and general manager of Conexant’s Broadband Access business. Prior to Conexant, Garen served as senior vice president of LSI Corporation’s Mobility Division after serving five years at Agere Systems. At Agere Systems, Garen’s positions included vice president of engineering for the Telecom Division, and general manager of the company’s Broadband Access business unit. Before Agere Systems, Garen served as general manager of Client Access for Lucent Technologies’ Microelectronics Group. Garen also worked for AT&T’s Microelectronics Group, and for AT&T’s Bell Labs. Garen earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Lehigh University, a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University, and an MBA from Lehigh University.


Debajyoti Pal \ Chief Technology Officer

A 27-year veteran in the communication and semiconductor industry and a DSL pioneer, Pal has extensive experience identifying and developing new technologies and products. Pal has a proven record of successfully bringing products from concept phase through product delivery.

Prior to joining Ikanos, Pal spent over five years at Tallwood Venture Capital in a variety of roles including chief technology officer and executive in residence. Prior to joining Tallwood, Pal founded Telicos Corporation. Before Telicos, Pal founded Excess Bandwidth Corporation, an xDSL physical layer chipset company that was acquired by Virata Corporation. At Virata, Pal was responsible for xDSL physical layer technology and IC product development. Before Excess Bandwidth, Pal held key senior technical and technical management positions at Amati Communications (acquired by Texas Instruments) which pioneered DMT- based ADSL and VDSL technologies. Prior to Amati, Pal held senior technical positions at AT&T Bell Laboratories and Intel Corporation, where he was on the design team of the world famous 80286-microprocessor.

Pal has made seminal contributions to electrical engineering and applied mathematics. 1n 1982 he introduced the concept and theory of Balanced Stochastic Realizations that advanced the field of control theory. And in 1990, Pal developed the first solution to the long-standing open problem of finding a fast 
(O (n2)) algorithm for factorization of a Toeplitz matrix with an arbitrary rank profile.

Pal holds seven U.S. patents, has published more than 30 technical papers, and is a Fellow of the IEEE. Pal is a Consulting Professor of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University.

Pal received a B.Tech. (Hons.) Degree in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering (ECE) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, India; a M.S.E.E. degree from Washington State University; and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, under the guidance of Professor Thomas Kailath, renowned for his influence on many areas of electrical engineering and applied mathematics.

In addition, Pal holds an elected position as a Charter Member of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs).


Cory Sindelar \ Chief Financial Officer

Sindelar joined Ikanos in September 2006 as vice president of finance. Sindelar has over 15 years of accounting and finance experience while working with various high technology companies. Most recently, Sindelar served as director of finance and accounting at EMC Corporation. Sindelar was the vice president, corporate controller and principal accounting officer of Legato Systems, Inc. from December 2000 until October 2003, at which time it was acquired by EMC Corporation. Prior to joining EMC/Legato, Sindelar served as senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, a global assurance and business advisory firm in San Jose, California.   Sindelar also held various positions at C-Cube Microsystems (acquired by LSI Logic) and Arthur Andersen LLP. Sindelar holds a B.S.B.A in accounting from Georgetown University.


Bernard Glasauer \ Vice President of Operations
Glasauer has more than twenty-five years of extensive technical and business management experience bringing disruptive technologies and commodity products to market. Prior to joining Ikanos, where he’s responsible for global operations, IT, quality and facilities/real estate, Glasauer was chief operating officer at Tzero Technologies. Before Tzero, Glasauer held executive-level positions at ARC, Cypress Semiconductor, GlobespanVirata and Siliquent. Glasauer earned a B.A. degree in economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a double major B.S. degree in electrical engineering/computer science and materials science engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.

Mitch Kahn \ Vice President of Corporate Development

As vice president of corporate development, Kahn brings more than 15 years of high-level marketing experience from his work at a variety of successful private and midcap semiconductor and systems companies. At Ikanos, Kahn leads the company’s global strategy and manages all outbound marketing activities. Prior to joining Ikanos in July 2008, Kahn held vice president of marketing positions at Applied Micro Circuits Corp., Quake Technologies Inc., Silicon Access Networks Ltd., Virata Corp. and Galileo Technology, Inc. Kahn also held president and founder positions at Wallflower Systems, Inc. and president and chief operating officer positions at V3 Semiconductor Corp. Kahn started his career at Intel Corp., where he held various engineering and marketing management positions. Kahn holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Lehigh University.


Dan Karr \ Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales

Karr joins Ikanos with 25 years experience in the semiconductor industry. Before joining Ikanos, Karr held executive sales and marketing positions at high-growth public companies such as S3, Virata and GlobespanVirata. Karr also held the position of president and CEO of Level 5 Networks, where he grew the company from an unfunded start-up to corporate acquisition. He has also been the VP of sales and marketing at Tzero Technologies and the VP of sales at Avnera. Earlier in his career, Karr held engineering, marketing and sales positions at Adaptec and Cirrus Logic as they grew from initial start-up to successful public companies. Karr earned a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Mathematics from Linfield College in Oregon.


Noah D. Mesel \ Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

As vice president, general counsel and secretary at Ikanos, Mesel is responsible for overseeing all legal affairs of the company. He advises the board of directors and management on strategic matters and commercial transactions, dispute resolution and regulatory compliance issues, with particular attention to public company requirements under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and other key SEC rules and regulations. Mesel also works with the engineering organization to manage the company's intellectual property assets. He previously served as general counsel at Legato Systems and Riverstone Networks, and was corporate counsel at Lucent Technologies, supporting their global outsourcing business unit. Mesel began his career as an attorney at the Palo Alto law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. He holds a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.A. from Claremont McKenna College.


Tammy Carr \ Director of Human Resources Worldwide

Carr brings more than 20 years of global human resource management experience to Ikanos. Prior to joining Ikanos, Carr was director of human resources for Comcast-Cable Division and director of global human resources for a division under United Technologies. Carr has extensive international experience working for Abbott Laboratories, and the U.S. Department of Justice, in merger and acquisition roles. Carr earned Bachelor’s and Masters’ degrees in Business Administration from National University in San Diego, Calif.  She also is a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
